1.04 BID NOTICE:

A. Notice is hereby given that sealed Bids will be received by the City of Hernando for the New Animal Shelter Facilities located in Hernando, Mississippi until 2:00 p.m. standard time on the 1st day of March 2022.

1.05 TO: POTENTIAL BIDDERS
A.Official documents may be viewed at the office of the Hernando City Clerk from 8 AM to 5 PM. Documents may also be viewed or downloaded from the AERC planroom website: https://www.aercplanroom.com. Documents are made available via original paper copy or electronically. Planholders are required to log-in or register for an account to view or order bid documents. All planholders are required to have a valid email address for registration. Bid documents are non-refundable and must be purchased through

C.Partial Sets will not be issued.

D.Bidders will be required to provide Bid Security in the form of a Bid Bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Base Bid.

E.Refer to other bidding requirements described in Section 00 2113 – Instructions to Bidders and Section 00 3100 – Available Project Information.

F.Submit your offer on the Bid Form provided. Bidders may supplement this form as appropriate, and as allowed by the State of Mississippi Public Bid Laws.

G.Submit your Bid in Duplicate for hand delivered bid packages only.

H.Your offer will be required to be submitted under a condition of irrevocability for a period of thirty
(30) calendar days after submission.

I.The bid will be awarded to the lowest responsive responsible and qualified bidder. The Owner reserves the right to waive any irregularities, the right to reject one or all bids and the option to postpone action and final decision for a period of up to forty-five (45) calendar days.

J.All bids submitted in excess of $50,000 by a prime or subcontractor to do any erections, building, construction, repair, maintenance or related work must comply with the Mississippi Contractors Act of 1985 by securing a Certificate of Responsibility from the State Board of Contractors. The Prime Bidder’s Certificate Number must be placed on the outside of the sealed envelope or the bid will not be opened. Electronically submitted bid packages must have the Certificate Number listed on the Bid Form. Subcontractors requiring a Certificate of Responsibility must be listed, including their Certificate of Responsibility Number, on the Sub- Contractor List with the Bid.
